Landscape Committee

The Landscaping Committee is a Standing Committee of the 4620 Board of Directors. It was established by the Board President under Article VI of the By-Laws. It shall have no fewer than three members, nor no more than seven members. Currently, there are six members of the Landscape Committee and includes the Committee chair. In addition, the Committee has a non-voting Board Liaison. Minutes are provided to management for posting in Building Link.

At a minimum, the Committee meets twice a year and monitors the health of the plants throughout the year. The Committee members often communicate by email about things going on in the landscape. In August, the Committee with input from representatives from the landscape company and the tree company, develops a draft budget for the next year. The draft budget is provided to management before the Budget Committee meets. Some of the categories in the budget include spring flowers, fall seasonal flowers, holiday lights, winter damage, trees, and possibly a new landscape project. In the spring, the Committee meets with the representative from the landscape company to select specific plant material based on the budget.
